1984:
Before being officially called the Coolum Beach Baptist Fellowship, it began as a mid-week Bible study in the home of Charles and Glenys Byrne with nearby neighbours. This progressed to also having a monthly Sunday afternoon meeting.

On 14th February, Coolum Beach Baptist Fellowship held its first meeting in the foyer of the Coolum Civic Centre with Charles Byrne as the pastor.
On 16th February Coolum Beach Baptist Fellowship officially became Coolum Beach Baptist Church with 34 founding members – welcomed into the Queensland Baptist Union by the President, Geoff Morcom.
Pastor Keith Drinkall, with his wife Jeanette, began his ministry – finishing in 2006.
Ministry Centre/Manse purchased – since sold.
In June the Peregian-Coolum RSL building (current church location) was purchased.
On 13th June the first worship service in CBBC’s new home (in the renovated previous RSL dining room).
Pastor Will Spann, with his wife Rose, began his ministry – finishing in late 2010.
Dave Tidey, with his wife Janelle, commenced as Assistant Pastor – finishing in late 2009.

In January Pastor John Gallagher, with his wife Shauna, began his ministry.
Camaron Smith, with his wife Allanah, commenced as Youth & Young Adults Pastor – finishing in 2017.
Isaiah Logan and Harrison Gallagher commenced as part-time Assistant Pastors – Isaiah with his wife Bree finishing at the end of 2018.
Children’s & Youth Pastor Harrison Gallagher, with his wife Jess commenced full time ministry.
In April Pastor John Gallagher, with his wife Shauna, concluded their ministry.
